The Quicksilver is one of Maui’s newest 55′ powered catamarans. It features a waterslide, a spacious upstairs deck, a glassbottom for viewing fish without getting in the water, and easy access into and out of the water.

You will depart from Maalaea Harbor, slip 103 at 7:30 AM—get there early to meet the crew. One your way to Molokini, enjoy watching the sun rise above majestic Mt. Haleakala—Maui’s dormant volcano. Also, enjoy continental breakfast featuring pastries, tropical fruit, juice and coffee.

Before getting in the water, feel free to take advantage of the free snorkeling lesson offered by the guides. They will walk you through how to use the gear and what to look for while you are visiting the underwater world. Once in the waters of Molokini, relax. The fish will swim right up to you. Enjoy the clear blue waters of this beautiful mid-reef wonder. If you are a bit nervous about being out in the water, feel free to take on of the floatation devices provided: noodles, boogie boards, and vest are available at no extra charge.

Molokini was formed from ancient volcanic eruptions. The Crater is an extinct partial cinder cone that has formed into an atoll. It now serves as a State Marine Life and Bird Conservation District. This makes Molokini prime snorkeling territory with over 250 fish species. Some of these tropical fish can be found nowhere else on Earth. The inner waters of Molokini’s crescent shape offers graded semi-shallow waters perfect for snorkeling and boast an average of 100 feet of visibility.

Next stop, Turtle Town! The outer reef of Maluaka Beach was formed from old lava flows. These blue waters are filled with fish, corals and marine life, namely the green sea turtles. This popular snorkeling site is secluded from the trade winds providing calm seas and an unforgettable ocean adventure.

Then its time to hope back on the boat and enjoy your barbecue lunch. If you decided not to return to the water alcoholic drinks are available for purchase. Before heading back, you’ll make a stop at Makena beach, in search of the Hawaiian spinner dolphins. These playful creatures are curious and may come up close to the boat for your viewing pleasure.
